March Capital
Santa Monica / CA

In short, I act as a design extension of the March Capital team, focused on clarity, speed, and making sure their thinking showed up as strong on screen as it did in the room.

The goal is always simple, make complex ideas easy to understand and easy to share. From websites and photoshoots, to full blown sponsorship and environmental branding efforts, I am their go-to.

Roles and Responsibilities

I supported pitch and presentation design for internal and external use, helping translate investment theses, market views, and portfolio narratives into clear, sharp visuals. Think fewer walls of text, more signals that land quickly with founders, LPs, and partners.

Simplicity

Minimalist designs often come with streamlined navigation. The main lift I have provided March with is stripping away the busy nature of their website. Visitors can easily find what they’re looking for, whether it’s their portfolio, direct contacts to partners involved with specific deals, or the most recent though leadership. The fewer clicks it takes, the better the user experience.

Presentations

I design investor decks that clarify strategy and data, but many slides stay private since performance numbers are protected and meant only for internal review.

Branding Design Principles

  • Every layout was built to make complex ideas easier to understand.

  • Whitespace, grids, and limited color keep attention on the message.

  • Typography carries hierarchy & tone without becoming decoration.

  • Visual decisions avoid trends so work still feels relevant years later.

  • The design communicates authority quietly, letting substance lead.

Consistency builds trust

Repeated patterns across decks and materials create familiarity and credibility. This has been the cornerstone of my relationship with March. They know that what I will produce for them is on-brand and feels as though it came from internal resources, even if I was not a part of the initial contextual conversations.

In addition to supporting the VC firm itself, I also am the key create resource for The Montgomery Summit, an annual event hosted by March in Santa Monica, CA.

This role includes full creative direction for environmental design, social media campaigning, stage design, as well as promotional collateral. I have been involved with the summit since 2020.

With over 2,000 attendees and speakers, it has proven to be impossible to be present for every session, but that hasn’t stopped design from solving that problem and providing a value add.

The summit spans two consecutive days, and with around 30 filmed sessions each day, one of the main value adds I provide to the summit, is cutting, editing, and uploading polished full session coverage on a less than 24 hour turnaround. What this means is if you missed a session on Tuesday due to being in sessions all day, you can watch the others you missed out on before the start of Wednesday’s scheduled start, while enjoying breakfast.
